Homemade Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients: 
  • Your preferred crust
  • 1 can pumpkin puree (15 oz.)
  • 1 Tbls cornstarch
  • 1-1/2 tsp NHHS Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • ​1-1/2 tsp butter (melted)​​
  • 1 can evaporated milk (12 oz.)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs (beaten)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450F.

Sift together dry ingredients.

Fold in pumpkin puree. 

Add all remaining ingredients and put in the crust.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350F and continue baking until a knife inserted comes out clean (approximately 35 - 40 minutes).

Let the pie cool before serviing.
