Chinese Sesame Orange Chicken

Battered Chicken Ingredients: 
  • 1.5 Lb Boneless Chicken Thighs (approximately 4 thighs) (cut into 1.5 inch cubes / pieces)
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Pinch black or white pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbs Oil
  • 1 Cup Cold Water
  • Oil for frying​
For Orange Sesame Sauce:
  • Wozz! Sweet Chili Orange Sesame Sauce
For Sides: 
  • Serve with jasmine rice (follow package directions for cooking) and steamed broccoli.
For Garnish: 
  • oasted sesame seeds and zest of 1/2 orange.
Spicy Tomato Kasundi Chicken Bowls​ Picture
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk together cornstarch, flour, baking powder, salt and pepper.  
Whisk in 1 egg, 1 Tbs oil and 1 cup cold water.  The consistency will look like pancake batter.  

Add your chicken pieces to batter, combine and put in fridge for 20 minutes. 
At this time, you can make your rice following package directions. 
In a deep skillet or pot on medium high heat, add enough oil to coat bottom of skillet - about 1/2 inch of oil.  Once oil is shimmering and hot (about 360 degrees) add chicken pieces in batches and fry for about 6-7 minutes until golden and crispy.  Drain on paper towels.

In a medium bowl coat and toss chicken pieces with Wozz! Sweet Chili Orange Sesame Sauce.   Serve over rice and garnish with orange zest and toasted sesame seeds.  Serve with a side of steamed broccoli.
