Roasted Pears with Gorgonzola & Walnuts


Ingredients:
  • 3 firm pears, halved and cored
  • 2 Tbls MOV Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbls Organic White Balsamic
  • 1/4 cup crumbled gorgonzola
  • 1/4 cup toasted walnuts, roughly chopped
  • Fresh thyme (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
Roasted Pears with Gorgonzola & Walnuts Picture
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange the pear halves on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Drizzle with EVOO and Balsamic, seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Roast for 20–25 minutes, or until the pears are tender and lightly caramelized.

Remove from the oven and top immediately with crumbled gorgonzola and toasted walnuts.

Optional:
Move the pears to the middle rack and broil for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese softens and the nuts deepen in color. Watch closely to avoid burning.

Garnish with fresh thyme and serve warm as appetizer or side dish.
