About Us
Owners Korey Snow and Kim Homoleski had been working on the idea for over three years and they offer a wealth of knowledge on the origins and health benefits of their products. Kim and Korey attended a seminar at Veronica Foods in Oakland California. Veronica Foods is one of the largest importers of extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars, focused on ultra-premium, high quality products.
Growing up in Hollis, Kim and Korey now reside in New Ipswich where they have a huge garden, resulting in four to five hundred canning jars and two massive freezers of produce for their own consumption each year. They are also avid beekeepers as members of the Monadnock Beekeepers Association. Korey grew up on a dairy farm and continues to put his woodworking talents to work. All of the counters in the store, including the impressive front desk were made by hand from reclaimed and recycled lumber. A new side-line for Korey is the making of the wooden crates used as gift baskets for the oils, vinegars and other products in the store.
They started Monadnock Oil and Vinegar in December, 2014 in a small space in Peterborough, NH. Since then, the space became bigger & bigger. In the Spring of 2020, when everybody else was shutting down for Covid, they opened a second store on Rte 101A in Amherst, NH. Most recently, they moved the Peterborough store to a new location on Rte. 101 in Dublin, NH. They purchased the building, which used to be a maple syrup house & converted it into a warm& inviting shop. Future plans include having a weekly produce stand supplied by local farms, and cooking classes.
