- Your preferred pie crust
- 6 cups peeled & sliced apples
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp NHHS Apple Pie Spice
- 1-1/2 Tbsp butter (melted)
- 1 teas lemon zest
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 Macintosh apples; 1/2 Rome apples (or appleas of your choice
Preheat oven to 375F.
Peel & slice apples. Mix together w/sugar, apple pie spice & lemon zest.
Line pie pan w/crust & add the apple mixture.
Cut up butte into chunks & sprinkle on top of apple mixture.
Add crust or lattice to top of the pie.
Bake 40 - 45 minutes or til apples are tender & crust is golden brown.
