Fried Turon w/Vanilla Ice Cream
Turon is a Filipino snack from plantain bananas and jackfruit rolled in brown sugar and wrapped in lumpia wrapper that is fried to a crisp.
Ingredients:
- Spring roll/lumpia wrapper
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- Plantains / Saba Bananas
- Jackfruit (optinal)
- MOV Butter Olive Oil
- Vanilla ice cream

Directions:
Separate the wrappers (cover w/a damp paper towel to keep them moist).
Slice the bananas in half lengthwise.
Roll the slices of banana in sugar until throughly coated.
Place banana slice with a strip of jackfruit in the wrapper. Fold the wrapper so the fruit is covered & it looks like a log.
Heat the Butter olive oil in a frying pan over low heat. Once the oil is hot, add the lumpia and fry for 3-5 minutes each side or until the wrapper turns golden brown & crispy.
Drain them on a paper towel.
Serve warm with ice cream.
Enjoy!
